About Us

SJI Limited was established in 2000 by a group of friends who wanted to create an innovative drink bottle that would capture the attention of young children.  We all had young children at that time and we wanted to bottle water in a creative way, so that our children would be motivated to drink 'our' water rather than sugar laden drinks. 

In pursuit of this vision, we met Jeff Sharp from ES Plastics and Jeff has worked with us for the past nine years, refining our concept and going back to the drawing board with us on a number of occasions as we sought to adapt our design to satisfy the market's requirements. In 2003, we attracted the attention of an investor who joined the Board of SJI, and we have since been joined by another private investor who also sits on our Board. 

Throughout this design & development process, we have sought the best market feedback, patent advice, and manufacturing know-how.  The result is a collection of patented innovative closures that are functional, practical and adaptable.

SJI now seeks partners in industry around the globe and is committed to licensing our technology with these partners so that all stakeholders may benefit from our intellectual property.
